Hello-Hello and happy Monday. Hopefully everyone enjoyed a delightful weekend, it was simply gorgeous here in the Great Midwest.
Today we start our look at some of the fall fashions hitting stores, the back to school season seems to have officially launched. Below, a few styles for the Young Ladies from LL Bean.
Above left we see the Graphic Floral Tee ($19.95) and the Stretch Twill Pants ($29.95); on the right, the Unshrinkable Stripe Dress ($26.95). Below left, the Rangeley Shirt ($26.95) and Freeport Knit Narrow Jeans (also $26.95). The Wildcat Parka ($99) seen on the right comes in multiple color combinations.
For some reason the boys’ styles looked more “fall-like” than the girls’. Below left the classic Double L Polo ($16.95) and Twill Cargo Shorts ($26.95). On the right, the Quarter-Zip Pullover ($26.95) and Double L Corduroy Pants ($29.95).
Other fall styles for the young men include Bean’s Down Vest ($49.95) and Plaid Flannel Shirt ($26.95); on the right we show the Fitness Fleece Pullover ($19.95) and Athletic Pants ($29.95).
Styles for grown-up ladies are also starting to be seen online and in-store. Below left, the LL Bean Textured Donegal Cardigan ($64.95) and Adirondack Barn Coat in waxed cotton ($119).
We do love to see fall footwear, below we show Bean’s Indispensable Flats in a houndstooth geared more toward autumn, and a pair done in Felted Wool.
One thing to keep in mind when looking at LL Bean prices, shipping is included in the price.
New styles and colors are trickling into Lands’ End as well. Below, the women’s Corduroy Ankle Pants ($49).
Lands’ End is launching a new line of leather accessories this fall.
The Landmark Collection features everything from bags and totes….
….to smaller items like Key Fobs ($16.50). It looks like everything can be monogrammed in gold or silver foil, or hot stamped with plain initials as shown below right. (This one shrieks “great gift item” or “fab stocking stuffer” at that price point.)
Fall outerwear offerings for the wee Princess at your Palace include the Girls’ Fleece Peacoat ($49), Squall Waterproof Jacket ($79) and Printed Fleece Hoodie ($39). All of them are from Lands’ End and all qualify as Pretty in Pink.
New styles for your Young MOTH (Man Of The House): the Stormer Jacket ($59), Print Stormer Jacket ($64) and Squall Parka ($89).
We’ll be sharing more fall styles in the next few weeks.

You’ll be seeing almost twice as many shoe styles at Ann Taylor this fall, many of them created by upscale footwear firm Vince Camuto.
Above left we see the Hattie Suede Block Heel ($128) and another style on the right. More from a Women’s Wear Daily story:
The first styles from Greenwich, Conn.-based Camuto Group, founded by Vince Camuto, hit Ann Taylor stores and anntaylor.com today.
Two more looks, including a riding boot and the Emilia Suede Peeptoe Booties.
The WWD.com story notes we shouldn’t look for the Vince Camuto name on the shoes, they will be branded as Ann Taylor. Prices will run from $78 – $248.
