Hello-Hello, and happy Wednesday. Here at the Prepatorium we’re also referring to it as “Day 8: TP’s Computer Held Hostage”. The Consort’s desktop has experienced a slow and painful death. Well, to be accurate, it was really more like a mercy killing. This beast is part of the replacement device.
We’re crossing our fingers that the new computer can be set up and good to go by tomorrow.
Today’s topic springs from numerous fashion columns I have read recently, noting the prevalence of pink in this fall’s fashion collections. That seemed like a nice topic for a post. We’ll begin with two coats. On the left, J. Crew’s Pea Coat ($298) and on the right, the Redgrave Goat by Goat, a UK brand Kate Middleton wears.
Other pink items from Crew include the label’s Classic Cashmere Cardigan ($188), cashmere sweater in a pink chevron motif ($198), and Collection V-neck Cashmere Sweater.
There’s no shortage of pink items at J. Crew for your Young Lady. Below we see the Girls Quilted Peacoat ($98) and Stretch Toothpick Cords (52.50).
At Le Boutique Targét there are fall outerwear options in a variety of pink shades. On the left, the Pink Platinum Hooded Vest ($14.99), the C9 Champion Hybrid Jacket ($29.99) or C9 Champion Puffer Vest ($27.99). All are in Girls’ sizes. (Some of these look like they could cause temporary blindness, Yikes!)
There is no shortage of pink footwear at Target for the wee Princess at your Palace. On the left, Felicity Patent Ballet Flat ($17.99), in the middle we have the Girls’ Cherokee Gregoria Boot ($29.99), and the Xolo Doddle Sneakers ($29.99) are on the right.

As one would expect, LL Bean’s offerings are scant, the company’s garments are traditionally done in more muted tones. (Bean rarely offers merchandise in the flaming pink we’re featuring today.) Below, the brand’s Pinpoint Oxford Shirt in pink paisley ($49.95) and Quarter-Zip Pullover ($39.95),
There are plenty of choices in bright pink shoes for fall: left to right we show London Sole’s Hot Pink Driving Shoes, the Valentino Red Bow Rain Boots and LK Bennett’s Flora Suede pump.

Other pink footwear choices include the Cole Haan Sadie Deconstructed Moccasin ($178), Kate Spade’s Licorice Too Pump ($328), and Sperry’s Authentic Original in fuchsia Suede ($60.26) .
Back to clothing items, we see the Torn by Ronny Kobo wool & cashmere dress ($308) below left, the Drape Skirt Dress in wool & lycra by Michael Kors ($1295) in the center, and Lela Rose Satin Twill Dress ($1295) on the right; all are at Neiman Marcus.
There are also some gorgeous gowns at Needless Markup Neiman Marcus in pink. Below we show Naeem Khan’s Beaded Bodice Gown ($6990), Oscar de la Renta’s Baroque Silk Gown ($12990) and the Strapless Sweetheart Ruffle Gown ($895) from Notte by Marchesa. (I do adore Oscar, but that is an awful lot of dress in the center, no?) Again, all dresses are at Neiman Marcus.

We wrap up our clothing pieces by showcasing some in a softer shade. On the left a coat by Rochas, on the right we see another oversized coat, this one by Femme.
The accessories market also seems to be in the pink, with oodles of handbags in the color. Below, the Michael Kors medium Travel Tote at Saks ($195) and the Iceberg Giuliana tote.

Alexa Chung even chose pink for the cover of her soon-to-be-released book.
Time to fly, The Consort needs my machine! Until next time (which could well be next week at this rate), may you and yours be ‘in the pink’!
With thanks to Lisa, who left a comment, we have a post-publication item to add. Behold the pink Bass Weejuns!
